Sunday morning services
We would love to welcome you to join us on a Sunday morning!
“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” Psalms 95:6
It is often said that Christians cannot be true followers of God in a vacuum. We need the support, nurture and love of others who also love Christ to help us worship and live as Christians. Here are some explanations on what happens on a Sunday morning. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
What time is the service?
We meet at 10:00 am.
If you would like, please join our Prayer Team on Sunday morning at 9:45 in the
Chapel as we prepare our hearts for worship.
Where is the church?
432 Bridge Street East, Belleville, Ontario. See parking instructions on the Contact Us page.
What happens on a Sunday morning?
As you enter the church building, you may be greeted by members of our Hospitality Committee and they can give you directions to the sanctuary, washrooms, and coat areas.
In the sanctuary, you are free to sit anywhere. Music will be playing, and it is a great time to quiet your heart. Our music style is a blend of contemporary and traditional Christian music, with choir, music teams, and various instruments.
The service is usually led by our lead minister. It begins with announcements and a time to greet one another before we go into music, prayer, a reading from Scripture, and a message to help us reflect on the Scriptures as they relate to life.
During the service there is usually a short time for quiet, individual prayer and you are encouraged to talk to God about things that are on your own mind and heart.
After the service, we invite you to come to our Connect Café in the Parlour. It is a great time to meet others over a cup of coffee, tea, or juice.
What about children?
Children sit with their parents. There will be a children's moment early in the service and then the children go to their own program (called Sunday School).
What should I wear?
Eastminster is a “come as you are” kind of church — you’ll find worshipers in jeans and sweatshirts and others in suits and ties.
Some of our members live within walking distance of the church but others drive in. No matter how you get here or how you come, we would love to have you join us! Many people also attend online. Each year we get many visitors to the church, and each one’s presence is a gift to us.
