Eastminster Women’s Group
Eastminster’s United Church Women disbanded in June 2024 due to its aging population and the changing role of today’s women. A new group was established in the Fall which provides women opportunities for fellowship through group walks or while exploring our greater community, visiting organizations and determining ways in which we can serve, either individually or as a group. We meet in the morning, usually between 10:00 & 11:00 a.m., on the second Saturday of the month. After walking, or visiting a local organization and learning about its mission and impact on our greater community, we then meet for lunch at a local eatery. So far we have explored the Corby Rose Garden and its surroundings, the Parrott Art Gallery and the Grace Inn Shelter. Future outings may include visits to the new Humane Society, a walking tour of the Belleville Cemetery and visits from local women of note (authors, etc). We are open to suggestions as to: places and organizations to explore, presenters to invite to join us and activities to consider that may allow us to fundraise for identified worthy causes.
Want to come?
The group is open to all women, of all ages - whether employed, stay-at-home or retired - and we welcome all who wish to join in. Contact the church office for information on upcoming activities, listen for announcements made during Sunday morning worship or look for information sign-up sheets posted on the bulletin board in the Narthex (lobby).
